Description

Castrol Braycote 804 is a smooth, buttery, off-white NLGI 1 grease based on perfluoropolyether oil and thickened with a tetrafluoroethylene gelling agent. It is thermally stable, nonflammable, chemically inert to commonly used fuels, solvents, corrosive chemicals and oxidisers. Designed for static and dynamic lubrication of taper plug valves, gaskets and bearings in fuel systems of aircraft and ground support equipment. It is also suitable for use in the presence of oxygen (LOX/GOX) and other highly oxidative materials as a lubricant for valves, threads, and bearings in aerospace vehicles and supporting equipment.
As a perfluorinated grease it has excellent shelf life due to its intrinsic inertness.
