For use in aircraft and missile systems. Meets the requirements of and is qualified to military specification MIL-PRF-83282D, Amendment 1 and is a direct replacement for fluids meeting MIL-PRF-5606 requirements.
Fire-resistant hydraulic fluid fluid for aircraft, ordnance and industrial use.Castrol Brayco Micronic 882 is a red coloured synthetic ISO viscosity Grade 15 hydraulic fluid. It contains no VI improvers and, unlike conventional hydraulic fluids, is not subject to polymer breakdown under high shear conditions. It can be used as a replacement and top-up oil for hydraulic fluids meeting the MIL-PRF-5606 specification and is also compatible with fluids meeting MIL-PRF-6083 specification in all proportions. It has a high flash and fire point, exceptionally high auto ignition point, and very low flame propagation. It also has controlled rubber swell properties for long seal life, low foaming, excellent anti-wear, and good corrosion and oxidation stability.Although Brayco Micronic 882 is primarily designed as a fire resistant hydraulic fluid for aircraft and missile use, but also has many industrial applications where fire and fluid toxicity are a hazard.
